However, Mary Docherty worked as a servent for __ as identified in the ___ census. If Henrietta was born out of wedlock to William H. Marshall, and if her mother died in childbirth, this could explain how she came to have the same name as William's first wife and why William moved his family from New York to Fleming, NY. An alternate theory is that Henrietta is the daughter of William Henry Marshall's youngest sister, Mary. Mary Marshall would have been about 16 years old when Henrietta was born. No information on what ever became of Mary Marshall.
